INTERACTIVE GAMING COUNCIL ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
All of those people who dislike a relaxing time interspersed with fun, excitement, entertainment and sheer pleasure - with a dash of work thrown in as a reality check - please cease reading any further. The outcome - you are sentenced to a mundane life.
For others who wish to be subjected to pure, unadulterated 5-star pleasure, mark down 25 and 26 August 2000 in your diary. This is the date for the Interactive Gaming Council Annual General Meeting at the Atlantis, Paradise Island resort in the glorious Bahamas. This is a prime opportunity for you to provide input on the future direction of the Interactive Gaming Council and network with fellow members.
To commence the torment, it is envisaged that (subject to sponsorship confirmation) pre-meeting cocktails will be held on the evening of 24 August, purely an attempt to combat any stress build-up prior to easing into the business end of the agenda. Perhaps those of you who are suffering an extreme case of stress may even opt for an extended stay.
If any member, or acquaintance of a member, wishes to sponsor a social event, whether it be drinks, a dinner, a boat cruise or whatever, please do not hesitate to indicate this willingness by contacting the writer or an Interactive Gaming Council Board member directly. The more sponsors the merrier as I am sure those of you who attended the dinner in Montreal can vouch.
For those of you who have not yet had the pleasure of partaking in this resort wonderland please take a “virtual” tour by clicking on http://www.sunint.com/atlantis/index.html. What should I do before and after meetings – snorkel, fish, sail, play tennis, sightsee, sample tropical cocktails, laze around the pools and read a book, (dare I say it) gamble in the casino, or perhaps even partake of some work.
Important – Accommodation Deadline. A room rate of $210 has been quoted for the Royal Tower and is per room, per night, excluding a 12% resort levy and other applicable charges (Maid, Pool, Beach Gratuity and Utility Surcharge and Bellman Gratuity). Strict pre-payment conditions apply and a block of rooms needs to be confirmed by 31 May, hence TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE. To take advantage of this rate it is necessary for members to contact Marlene Gelardi of Journeycorp by email at , or telephone 201-692-8111, before 31 May with details of the number of rooms required, the accommodation dates and credit card details for payment. After May members will not be guaranteed a room at this rate. To obtain the rate, mention to Marlene that you are a member of the Interactive Gaming Council and wish to attend the Annual General Meeting. Please note that the pre-payment policy of Atlantis requires an initial deposit followed by progressive payments 60 days, 30 days and 7 days from the date of arrival.
Additionally, to assist with arrangements for the member’ meeting could you please indicate whether you propose to attend the Annual General Meeting.
