Consistent with their Code of Conduct, IGC members should make every effort towards integrating the following voluntary measures:
  1. Actively provide access to professional resources to help individuals/family members who may have a gambling addiction.
  2. Seek training from problem gambling assistance program experts and implement appropriate programs.
  3. Post betting and loss limits.
  4. Promote compulsive/problem gambling tools like “20 Questions of Gambler Anonymous” on their gambling sites.
  5. Post age restrictions and why gambling may be harmful to youngsters; make blocking software available to parents.
  6. Investigate and initiate others ways of reducing gambling problems and underage gambling by promoting responsible gambling on their sites.


GamCare has developed a Checklist of Social Responsibility in relation to online gambling websites.  A copy can be obtained from .  GamCare encourages the gambling industry to adopt a culture and practice of social responsibility and promotes social responsibility codes covering the following topics:
  1. Compliance with codes of conduct
  2. Advertising and promotion
  3. Purchase of gambling products
  4. Underage purchases
  5. Staff training
  6. Intervention procedures
  7. Display of signage
  8. Indicating sources of help
  9. Supporting social impact initiatives
  10. Company commitment

The North American Training Institute (info @nati.org), NATI, provides responsible gambling programs and strategies for interactive gambling companies. NATI has integrated responsible gambling elements into a web-based environment. Strategies for preventing underage gambling are the cornerstone of the North American Training Institute's Responsible Gaming Programs and Services.

Game Planit Interactive Corp. has developed “responsible gaming” software for the gaming industry, focusing (initially) on developing software products and to sell our products to gamblers, researchers, and health care professionals. While products and services are currently designed for gaming machines they may provide an insight into potentially useful products for online gambling.
